National Entrepreneurs Day

By Joe Grushkin

Tomorrow, November 19, is National Entrepreneurs Day! Having been an “entrepreneur” for over 35 years, only means I am psychologically “unemployable”, which has worked for me my entire adult life (and even earlier).

As an entrepreneur, I have found the freedom to work where, when and with whom I choose, never having to succumb to corporate politics or not have control of my own destiny. I have made millions over my lifetime, and I am proud to say, I have helped thousands of others make millions for themselves.

There have been countless customers that have benefited from my entrepreneurial endeavors, ideas and initiatives, which have, in many cases, made them millions.

Being an entrepreneur is not just about making money, it’s about having the wherewithal to have so much confidence in yourself and your ideas to “go it alone”… and make it happen. It’s YOU YOURSELF INCORPORATED… and for that, you are rewarded with substantial income, time freedom and benefits others only wish they could achieve.

The entrepreneurial opportunity isn’t for everyone, and there is no shame in being employed. It’s something inside of the entrepreneur that “drives” them to be self-motivated, dedicated and disciplined to do “whatever it takes” to achieve the desired results. It’s been said many times, “entrepreneurs work like other won’t, so they can LIVE like others can’t”.

On National Entrepreneurs Day, I celebrate all those who, like me, are the people who drive our economy, who take the risks and create wealth of others (and themselves) – whether as a customer, jobs in their communities, or by teaching people skills that can be transferred and used by them in the future.
